HANDSOME OFFER TO TE KOOTI.
Mk Jamks Darkow, of the Thames, wdio is at Rotorua for the baths, had an interview with Te Kooti ou Monday morning last (Karaka Tarawhiti, Assessor, Native Laud Court acting as interpreter), and made To Kooti the following offer :— Mr Darrow agrees to ]>ay Te Kooti the sum of five hundred pounds (£o00) for his person, wives, aud four body guards, aud Thos. K. Tarawhiti as interpreter, with all expenses paid. Te Kooti'a life to be insured for three thousand pounds (£3000) for a twelve months' exhibition tour throughout the Australian colonies. Te Kooti received Mr Darrow's offer very amicably, and promised to consider the matter and give an answer in a day or two. After the interview Mr Darrow invited To Kooti to luueh with him at Scddon'a Lake View House.
