DUMMYISM.
(I!Y TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION) Wellington, Last Night. At the Magistrate's Court this morning Coleman Phillips of Dry River Station, Wnirarapa, was charged on two informations with inciting Jiose Joseph, Jennv Samuels, Hannah .Samuels, Uachael Joseph, K. K. Samuels, J. F. Mills, and K. C. Ij. M'^ s to commit a breach of the Laud Act, 18!* >, by obtaining laud disposed of by deferred payment not exclusively for choir own use, and also with inciting such persons to declaro something which was false, to wit, that they were purchasing the lease of the land referred to in the declaration solely for their own use and benefit, for the purpose of cultivation and not directly or indirectly for the use and benefit of any other person. Messrs Gully and Jellieoo appeared for the Minister of Lands and Mr Tnivcrs is defending the case. The further heating of the charge of diimiiiyism preferred against Coleiuan Phillips has been adjourned till Tuesday.
