Tue Argentine Government is repealing the tax on bank deposits, and in return demands from the banks a loan of 20,000,000 dollars. The. banks have refused, and a forced issue is feared. The money market in this city is excited, and it is feared the funds of the Provincial Bank will be absorbed. March 7._ A iinaneial panic has occurred in the city, and a. great run was made on the Provincial J'ank. The (jovemilient a,tid private merchants are coming to the assistance of the Lank. The banks in tin city have suspended payment for two days, to permit of them arranging for a. loan, in order to secure the Provincial Rank. Dr. Yincente F. Lopez, Minister of Finance, has resigned. Loxdo.V, March ~>. Fearing a. revival of city bear rumours, large blocks of securities are being thrown Oil the market.
