Cattle ■ A steady demand has existed for all descriptions at the previous week's values, and the number brought forward has been up to the average. The numbers yarded at Newmarkot on Tuesday, and Papakuraon Wednesday showed little increase as compared ■with tho previous sales, and for all descriptions there was steady competition. Fat steers at from 14s to 17s Cd per 100 lb ; cowh, from 12s to 15s.
