WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
» Thk ordiuary monthlymeeting of the above* named board was held last Saturday, in the Nottingham Castle Hotel, Morrinsville. Present: Messrs W. 1 , . Chcpmell (iu the chair), J. Hortell, 11. Parr, and J. Turnbull. As no teuden; were received for the proposed drainage work in connection with Lovegrove's road, it was decided that the ir.nlter of letting the work be left iu tho hands of tho ongineer and Mr Parr. It was decided to call for tondeiu for widouiug and deepening Johnson's Creek drain, and fur work on the Te Kawuua ruarl, including drainage mid outfall.—The Kmjiuoor reported that O. MeCaboliadliiiishedhw contract on the Pinko road leading to tho native Muitlemcut on the Pinko Rivor. 110 reported also that Mr Harrison had brought up a largo outfall ditch to take tho water from the Taiibao road loading to Tauphi, and that ho had got, extra drainage douo across and alongside the road. Hβ also reported that jus Orr had nearly finished his contract on the Maungatapu Road. The broken culvert on tho Richmond Rond is to be renewed at once, and other work on that load will be Rone on with at an early date. Mr Jainca Gordon, of Kereone, interviewed tho Board with the viow of getting cutting repaired on the Mnungatapu Road. The Board docided to defer the matter for future consideration. A letter was read from Chas. Thexton and Michael O'Donoglino re tho bad condition of the road to their homes, and money which the Board received, or should have received, from the Waste Lands Board.
