The .stevedores have withdrawn their manifesto under pressure ot the Docker's Virion. The London Chamber of Commerce have invited the Shipping Federation and various labour unions to hold a friendly eon i'erence. A thousand free labourers have offered their services. The shipping ollices are opening a register for nonunion dockers. It is proposed that if the block continues in London to employ free labouiers only, and lock out tho unionist:;. Half of the first penny levy on th" tonnage belon.tiiijr to the Whipping Federation is still unsponL. Work is at present proceeding quietly.
