WAIKATO ANNIVERSARY SWIM MING GALA.

The anniversary swimming gala will be held on the Hamilton Lake to-morrow, and although the entries are not so large as on previous years a good day's sport may be anticipated. There are no entries at all fer the girls' races, and the boat races as advertised will not be held owing to the small number of entries, but a boat race will probably be promoted on the ground. The Hamilton firass Band will discourse music which will help to enliven the intervals between tho races. All the arrangements have been completed for tho proper currying out of the programme, and a line day is all that is needed to complete the succes of the gathering. Four championpionship events are set down for discussion, two, the half-mile, and 150 yards being open to the whole colon}", the quarter-mile to Waikato residents only, and the 20'J yard-to members of the Hamilton Amateur Swimming Club. The following are the entries and handicaps for the various events.
