Intense cold is being experienced all over the Continent, but in .Southern Europe the weather is especially severe. Numerous eases are reported of persons having been frozen to death. January lu. The shipping industry of Holland, Belgium, and Antwerp, h?s been suspended, as the harbours are closed by iue. Severity of the winter continues, and the thermometer in London shows 27 deg. frost. Yien-.n-a, January 10. A heavy suowfall has been experienced throughout Austria, which ha had the effect of deranging the whole traffic.
