Mr Dillon, in his manifesto, asserts that the Americans will resume their subscriptions to the Land League if Sir J. Pope Hennessey, Mr Justin McCarthy's nominee, is returned for Kil-, kenny North. It is asserted that Mr Gladstone J'e-j tires from the leadership of the Libera), party in favour of Sir V. Harcourt, if the last named candidate is defeated. Mrs O'Shoa has gone to Paris. Mr Davitt denies that a bag of lime was thrown at Mr Parnell . -while speaking at Castle Comer, and states that the contents were only floiiv. Mi' Parnell. speaking at Kilkenny, said he was confident of winning, and would contest every seat. If united, his party must be victorious. Ho described MV Justin McCarthy as a. nice quiet gentleman. Mr Hartington, secretary of the League, arrived at Qujonstowu today, and started at once for Kilkenny, The poll will be declared on Thursday. December 23. The ltoman Catholic priests who support Sir Pope Hennessey's candidature for Kilkenny North, will act as agents at the election booths, and will inarch to the poll at the head of voters. Messrs T. (Sexton and Justin McCarthy have started for Paris, where they moot Mr O'Brien. December 23. The election for Kilkenny North is proceeding quietly, and the party uuder the leadership of Mr Justin McCarthy expert that their candidate, Sir Pope Hennessey, will have a majority of one thousand votes.
