AUCKLAND RACING CLUB'S SUMMER MEETING. [by telegraph.— ow.v oorrkspondkxt]. Auckland, Last Night. TIIEUK are a number of cuutitry foil; in town for the races on Friday. There will be eight or nine stnrtsrs for the Auckland Cnp, and mi all hands it is voted a very open race. Mr Morrin's Hilda is a great favourite with the public, and it is generally thought that whatever beats her wilt win. The visiting horses, Dudu, Strephon and Cracltsbot, have each got through their preparation well, and have a lot of admirers. Medallion and Belmont were scratched to-day. The. first-named split his hoof, and is to be reserved for the Derby. A heavy downpour of rain Ims caused apprehensions for ths meeting CAMBRIDGE ATHLETIC SPORTS. The following handicaps have been declared for the various events at the athletic sports, on 29th inst.
