(liV TELEUKAI'II.— VRESS ASSOCIATION). Wklmngton, Last Night. Tun Premier, at the request of the Mayors of Auckland, Christuhurch, I 'micdiii, and Wellington, has despatched a cable to Her Majesty, asking her to stand Godmother to the son of Lord Onslow.

Parnell, originator of the Kight Hours movement in New Zealand, died this morning, in his eiphty-first year, having been 51 years in tho colony.
