V* Woikato Timts ''o/Hm, Wedi.ciday. MAKKET REPORTS The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) report under Melbourne, November 12.—W00l : At our last week's sale we submitted a catalogue of 2527 bales to a crowded attendance of the trade, who competed with great spirit for every lot, and 2076 bales were aold at fall prices, greasy fleece realising up to lOd, and lambs 12d. The offerings of Hcoured wero unimportant.—The holiday season has somewhat interfered with business in the grain market since our last report, but as wo write a little better feeling ii experienced in one or two directions. Prime wheat '.is in moderate compass, and the determination of some holders to ship a portion of their stock to the United Kingdom will doubtless tend to steady the market for this description. Our crop prospects lire faardly so favourable as could bo desired. The harvest this year will be late, and except in the Mallee country the appearance of the wheat fields is somewhat patohy. Seasonable weather for the next eix weeks will, however, notarially alter the outlook, and it is quite possible that though deficient in straw, the yield of grain this year may be satisfactory. Our latest advices by cable from London do not indicate much change in prices, whilst it is probable that the condition of the money market may have a momentary depressing affect on values.
