THE POLITICAL SCHOOLMASTER.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—A short time ago I saw a notice from the Auckland Board of Education to the effect that it was not desirable for school teachers to take an active part in politics, but, jn defiauce of such resolution, a Mr Murray, from Ohaupo, travelled to Te Awamutu to hear Mr BrycH, and, to use a mild term, make himself conspiuuous. Thero are also complaints from paronts that several of the country luucliuri. lmvo takon advantage of their position to make usn of the children attending school to dintribute leaflets aud electioneering pamphlets amongst tho children's parents. Such conduct is an abuse of their position, and deserves the severest cenauro.—l remain, &c, Te Awaudtd.
