T/w Waikato Timet Office, Friday. WAIKATO MARKETS. Mr W. J. Hunter Reports :—At Cambridge on Saturday November 22nd. there was a full monter of cattle, the yards being well tilled. There was good competition and nearly all sold. Yearling steers, woll-bred, ill Os to £1 17s, two-year-olds £2 4a to £2 6s; three-year-olds, £2 17s 6d to 4j3 g 3; dairy cows, £2 up to £4 os; year . litig heifers, 16s to 18s; fat cows, £3 to £3 10s. At the horse yards more than the usual number of horses were brought forward, some very good farm horses sold well, and many more could have been vlaced. Only a small quantity of produce was brought forward and sold well. Active medium draught:.' sold from £10 to £13 17s 6d • hacks, £5 to £8 7s Gd ; ponies, from £2 to £15s ; fowls, Is to Is 4d ; geese, 2s !)d each. At Ohaupo on Tuesday, Novemler 25th., there was a very large muster of cattle and a good demand fur all classes, and nearly every beast sold. There was also a good muster of sheep. Prices were : Steer calves, £1 to £1 7s; yearlings, £1 8s to £114s; two and two and a-half-year-old steers, £2 to £2 10s ; three-year-old steers £2 19s to £310s J three and four-year-old steers, nearly beef, £3 12s (id to £5 5s ; heifer calves, 12s to l,s; yearling heifers, £1 to £1 (is; store cows, U 10s to £„ 4s; spayed three-year-old hoifers, £- 8s; fat cows and hoifers, £3 to £3 lbs; fat steers, £4 to £5 ss; shorn ewes and lambs, 10s tid a couplo; fat hoggets and ewes, 9s to lis 9d J. McNicol and Co. Keport.— At our special sale of bulls and horses held in Hamilton on Thursday last, wo had a fair attendance of buyers, the wet day keeping away many. Three outside buyers of horses that we had expected could not como, and bidding was not so free as on previous occasions, and the class of horses was not nearly so good as at our Bpecial salo in Cambridge in September last. Bulls : Forty-four were yarded. The draft from the Waikato Land Association were a vary line lot, and some of the animals elicited spirited bidding, and made good prices. Messrs W. Grice and Co. purchased tho champion Shorthorn bull Cadmus at 25 guineas; Mr Hunt purchased for Matainata Estate tho t.vo-yoar-old Shorthorn bulls, Sir Colin at 15.J guineas, King Cole at 211 guineas, and King Georgo at 10 guinea's; Mr W. Ring purchased a Shorthorn two-year-old bull at 10 guineas, and Mr W. Thornton the Hereford two-year-old, Trumpeter, at 10 guineas. Of the other bulls Disraeli, bred by tho Waikato Land Association, made £8 10s ; two Hereford and Shorthorn bulls, from Lockerbie, £3 5s ; aged Shorthorn bull from Mr Storey, £5 5s ; do., from Mr Forrest, £5 ; aged Hereford bull, from Mr Storey, bred by the Waikato Land Association, £3 15s; Shorthorn bull, from Henry Windsor, £4; do., from James Huncimzin, JL3 5 do., from Robt. Noble, £4 5s ; yearling grade bulls, £1 10s to £2 10s, and 16-month bull, from Captain McPherson, £2 17s Gd. The grade Shorthorn bulls fromMatamatawero passed. Horses : 330 hoad were yarded, comprising some first-class animals, but the larger number were but middling and a lot were nothing but weeds. Good draught horses sold fairly well, £24 boing ottered for a really first-class gelding from Mr J. Hutchinson, who held him for £26. A five-year-old colt, by Elgin, frotr McNicol Bros, made £22, and a five-year-old l'rinco Charlie gelding of Mr Parr's was passed at £21, £'?3 being wanted. A pair of unbroken Prince Charlio three-year-old geldings from Mr Storey were passed at £17 each, £20 boing wanted. A pair of unbroken two-vear-old draughts mado £12 eacli; and unbroken medium draughts made from £6 to £10; unbroken light harness from £5 to £9; and we sold about 40 draught horses, with trials, at from £9 to £18 10s. A choice pair «f heavy draught roans (own brother and sister), 4 and ;> years old, from Mr Clements, were bought at £21 each. Good upstanding hacks, from £10 to £16 ; strong useful riding hacks, £6 to £9 ; "light harness suits, from £5 to £10 ; and a few very nice harness horses made up to £12. Weeds from £110s to £3, and dear at that. Including what were sold privately after the auction about 180 head were sold, about 100 being offered on Friday morning.

At I'ukekolie, on Monday, a full market of store cattle found ready buyers, and at PapaUura, on Wednesday, a i-maller n.lister was also fioely competed tor, the late laincausing feed l<> be unusually abundant, At Ueniuera on Thursday dairy cattle iu usual number, were in bettor demand. A large sale of maize went through at 3s off tho wharf owing to want of space on the Sydney steamer shutting out the greater portion of the shipment and involving a loss of 2d per bushel to sellers. On Wednesday last a large quantity was got away to Sydney by the steamer.
