WAIKAIO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Tub monthly meeting of this Council was hold on Wednesday last. Present: Messrs Primrose (chairman), Seddon, Coates, liarunb, Forrest and Johnson. Fun lis. —Tho clerk reported that the riding, accounts at date were all in credit, viz., Rangiriri, £§12 ; Kirikiriroa, £13 Us Od i Tamahovo. £30 lis 3.sd: Cambridge, il l Is O.'jd ; while the Model Farm account was £102 13a r>d in debt. pROOLAHA'rtOiN'.—Tho Surveyor-General wroto stating that the proclamation had been issued for tho Matahura road deviation. The clerk stated that it would be published in the next issue of The Waikato Timrs. Furzk.—The clerk reported that he had sent notices to tho following Mrs Schlinker, Mr J. 0. Willams, Robert, Kelahar, and Robert Muir. Mangawhaua.—Mr James Dilworth wroto with regard to the inaccesible state of tho road to his property at Mongawhara, and asked that in consideration of the amount of rates paid for something to be done This matter was deferred until after next mooting, when the chairman and another councillor will visit tho Rangiriri outlying district. Halk-vbaklv Accounts.— I The half-yearly statement of accounts duly audited by the Controller and Auditor General was signed by the Chairman. Repairs.—Cr. Johnson reported that he had many repairs done throughout the Rangiriri Riding since the last flood. Collins' Deviation.—Mr Collins having refused to contribute towards the deviation of the road accross the railway near his place, the Council decided to let the matter drop. Tenders. —A vote of censure was passed on the Engineer for not forwarding the specifications in connection with the forination between Ohinemnri and Tale's Hill and a committe consisting of Crs. Primrose, Seddon and Coates was appointed to deal with the tenders for the work after seeing file Engineer. Doc; fiEci.sTKAlt.—The following dog registrars were appointed:—Jas. McPherson Hugh Fitzgerald, W. Birss, and R. Lindsay. The registration fees were fixed at 5s each for sheep and cattle dogs, and 10s each tor all other breeds.
flost'iTAL Representatives. — Messrs Primrose, Seddon, Kallendar, and McPherson, were re-elected tho Hospital representatives for the coming year.
Works,—lt was resolved to get 100 yards of metal broken, and laid at the Western end of tho big swamp on the Wairangi road.
Several accounts were passed, and the meeting closed.
