WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1582," and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in Waikato County : And whereas tlie Waikato County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof : Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of tho powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1852," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declaro that, from aud after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zciland Gazette, the laud mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for tho purposes of tho construction of the said road.
