SERPENT DISASTER.

London, November 24. Thk survivors of H.M.S. Serpent, which was wrecked off the coast of Spain, have reached Plymouth. They state that a difference of opinion existed among the officers as to the eour.se the vessel should be steered, and this led to the disaster. The vessel broke in two shortly after she struck the rocks. The survivors complain that there was great scarcity of life belts 011 board, otherwise the loss of life would not have been so great.
