Tho (Scotsman considers the Irish cause is not affected by its Icadcr'i lapse. The lu'eunmri's .Journal says he has brought Ireland out of bondage, and cannot retire. The lribh Times speaks of his reputation as being smashed. The Pall Mail Gazstte is of opinion that the verdict does not relieve Parnell from hi-j duty to tho causd of Ireland. Tho Irish bishops protest against Parnell not resigning the leadership of the party. Drs. Parker and Clifford, and Nonconformists generally, insist on Parnell's retirement from the leadership of the Irish psrty. November 20. ' The Provincial Radicals aro pressing Mr Gladstone to use his influence lo induce Parnell to retire. Mr Davitfc suggests that Paruell .should retire temporarily uutil he has marripd Mrs O'Shea. Th« Irish parby both in America and Ireland i.«re rallying to ParnsH's gupport, and tho subject is creating intense interest. New York, November 19. The American press and public condemn Parnell.
