WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
Thb ordinary monthly meeting of the above-named Board was held in the Nottingham Castle Hotel, Morrinsville, on Saturday, all the members being present. AUDIT Fkks.—Since hst meeting two letters had been received from tho Audit Office requesting payment for the audit ot the Board's account*. Three demands have been made for payment and it seems funny that the amount demanded is on each occasion different. It was decided that the Chairman look into the mntter as there was some doubt as to what year was referred
to. ... Complaint.—A letter wns received from Mr .T. Wood, calling attention to damage he has received through the Board timiinc water on to his land.—The Clerk was instructed to inform Mr Wood that it has turned no water on to his land.
Tu Kawana Road.—A letter was received froir Mr Thomas Bradley calling the attention »f tho Bonrrl to the stute of the To Kawnna Eloaii. —It \va» decided that thn Engineer eet repairs done tliure. Tknokbs. —Fur the contract en the Maungutapu road the following tenders were received : 0. McCabo, .£65; J. Orr, £52 10% (accepted). For the contract on the Tauhnu road tlm following tenders were received : J. Orr, fJi 10m ; O. McCabe, £20, (accepted). The Engineer was instructed tu call for tenders for work on the road loading to the Pinko nativu settlement. TiibStani.kv Road.—lt wan decided to improve » lumpy place on the Stanley road near Manivwimi. Mr Hanmer offered to plough, harrow and roll the place if the Board would pay a man with a scoop for a tew days if required to do the levelling. Tliu Board readily agreed to such a liberal oiFer. ACCOUNTS.—Accounts amounting to £3!) 18s 10d wore passed for payment.
