M US'MRS IiSAM ANI> All I'll u it's Weekly Report.—'The excessively wet weather during the week has had a serious effect in the produce business, as growers have been unable to supply the market with necessary stock. In potatoes the demand is almost totally confined to the new crop; old potatoes are about exhausted. Shepherds and kidneys we are now receiving daily, and the supply is not equal to the demand. Shepherds we quote at kl to jjd, kidneys Id to lsd, the latter prices for Rood quality. Cheese : The demand during the week has been active, all lines being cleared on Thursday; new shipments to hand on Friday met with equally Rood demand at 4d to 4Jd. .Butter continues plentiful; we quitted large quantities at 4d to .li.'fd ; inquiries for salt very small. Bacon: Local has been in short supply; Canterbury (by the case) we have sold a good quantity at o[d half-half, the demand for the brand is improving as the quality becomes known. Eggs: Could have sold much more at 7id to (id. Vegetables were in great supply, and realised fair prices. For flour, oats, etc., there is little enquiry. Fowl wheat is scarce and in demand. The prices here given are those realised at auction, on Friday, and do not include private sales during the week. We make this explanation, as the latter quotations are not altogether a fair report of current rates, and apply as a rule to very small sales :—Potatoes, £1 to £2 10s; kidneys, Id to Ijjd; Shepherds, id to |d ; prolific*, id ; green peas, Is lid to Is 7d ; rhubarb, 5s to Cm ; cabbages, 8d to Is 2d ; and Is Id to Is (id per sack ; turnips, 5d to Gid ; oafs, 2s 2d to 2« 3d ; bran, 3s lid ; sharps, 3s lid ; chaff, £3 5s to £-1; flour, £!) to £11; oatmeal, 2.Vs, 2s ; 7'h, 8.3d to 9d; cheese, 4d to 4Ad ; inferior, 3d ; bacon, 3d to fi^d; Canterbury bacon and hams, (i|d ; turkey eggs, setting, Is 9d to 2s ; fresh butter, 4d to lUd ; salt butter. 2Jd to 3d ; ginger nuts, 4d ; mixed biscuits, 4d ; tea, half-chests, Is Id to Is tid ; boxes, lus (id ; coffee, Is ; jam 4s Id.

LONDON MARKKTS. (BY Kt.ECTMO THr.ECRAI'II.— OM'VUIOUT.) London, October 24.—Mr Lewi's. UlO wheat expert, estimates that the British wheal, crop will bo uiim and threequarter million quarters, and that there will require to be imported eighteen million quarters.— New Zealand hemp : Market firmer. Medium is worth £1!) 10s per ton. There is more inquiry for common New Zealand hemp.
