Sydney, October 17.. Mr McMillan's Budget statement last night showed tho revenue for the year to be £9,426,000, or £97,000 over his estimate. The Customs show a decline of £13;j,000, which the Treasurer accounted for lay the recent unfortunate occurrences. £40,000 had been cai'riod forward from last year, iind during tho year £150,000 had been paid off the deficit. Allowing for these two amounts the present year shows a general credit of £318,000. The Treasurer proposes to carry forward £58,000, and to appropriate the balance to roads and bridges. Ho estimates the revenue for the next year at £0,59(5,000, and the expenditure at £9,581,000.
