Bacon and hains of good quality oould have been quitted in larger quantities, and all to hand sold readily. Prime bacon, (id to CM, poor 4d to 5d ; hams, prime, 7d, poor -kf to sd. Cheese has come to hand ig good quantities and mat with eimd domand. One ton of Akaroa loaf cheese realised 4d to 4,' id; Poverty Bay new loaf size, iUd ; Taranaki large, 4d ; local new make, Id to 4,' rd. Butter, fresh, has been plentiful, and quality, in many cases, _ very poor. Prices have ruled from 3d to sd, one lot Egg supplies still on the increase, but yet far short of demand.
