The British Consul-General in New York emphatically denies the statement of Mr Davitt that he supplio I James MuDermott, the American Fenian, with funds to organise dynamite plots iu Canada, etc., or that he in any way intrigued with MsDerraott. Davitt' contention was that McDennott had bee.i engaged to organise a plot, and afterwards hand over his dupes to the British police.
