A OBI'CTATION of M.H.K.'s waited on tha Railway Commissioners this morning, there being present:—Messm Ward, Rhodes, Fitehett, Buxton, .1. and T. McKenzie, Stewart, Percival, Brown, Hall, Duncan, Walker, Verrall, Feldwick. and Marchant. The principal finbjects brought under the notieo of the Commissioners were Private railway sidings, reduction of charges on the conveyance of stock, lime, bales, bags, white pine timber, and firewood, and the carriage of grain for export purposes, tickets for school children, and an alteration in the hours of running the express between Christchurch and Dunedin and stoppage nt more stations. There was considerable discussion on some points, particularly the carriage of stock and the alteration in the southern express. The Commissioners will take the suggestions into consideration.
