Buknos Aykks, August (i. _ Dh. Cblmax has rHsignecl the Presidency. A joint committen of the Chambers is being held to decide whether the resignation shall be accepted. The populace threaten to shoot the deputies who oppose it. Tho resignation of Dr. Celman was due to pressure which was brought to bear on him by the military. All attempts, to effect a compromise between the parties were futile. August 7. The Chambers have accepted the resignation of Dr. Celman, and Dr. Carlos Pellegini, the Vice-Presi-dent, who was elected to succeed him, is engaged forming ti new Cabinet.
