PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD.
— ♦ Tiik usual monthly meeting of the above board was held in tho I'ukeknra .Set Room on August 4th. J'resent: Mr K Like (chairman), Messrs .1. Anderson, •!. Scott, and H. Kusabs. Watson's Road.— A letter was received from Mr 1). Stubbing stating that the survey of Watson's road had been forwarded to ttie Survey Office. lio.M) Deviation.- -Tho chsinnan was authorised to advertise the road deviation through 78 and 7'.>, parish of Ptikekura, the Survey Office having approved of the plans. Kknck ON Road.—MrJarrett was granted permission to erect a wire fence one foot on the road in Browning-street; subject to his keeping the road free from furze anil briar. TkNNYSON .STItKKT. — Messrs Vickers, Hyatt, Looker, and Adams wrote, asking that Tennyson-street might be cleared and formed.—Messrs Anderson and Vosper weio authorised to pet the clearing done if they considered it necessary, but not the forming at present. CI.'IA'KKT. —The chairman was authorised to put in two sets of l'J inch pipes, on the road between Sturgess' and Karllett's properties. Station* Road.—The chairman was also authorised to obtain the necessary metal needed for repairs to the station road, (Hiaupo. Wll.l.ows.—Mr Scott was empowered to get some large willow cuttings planted on the banks of creeks near the deviation of the road. I'ikk's Ditch.— Messrs Anderson and Vesper's action in arranging with Mr Pike to deepen his ditch at a cost of 10s, was confirmed. (!kavki.. — Rennission was granted to the Waipa County Council to obtain gravel from the pit near Mr Mr Reynold's for repairing tiie main road, on the usual conditions, that tiie pit sliiill be left in good order. The chairman's action in granting Mr liridgtnan permission to take a few loads of gravel from the pit near his house, was approved. Cn.VHHT.—Mr Anderson reported that he had authorised the purchase of timber for a culvert near Mr I!. ISailey's, Mr Walker tocartand fix the same at his own expense. Action confirmed. Accounts.—The following accounts were passed for nayment: — 1). Stubbing, I'S ; Turnwald, I'll 7s lid ; I'ike, 10s. This closed the business of the meeting. The Hoard will hold their next meeting on Monday, September Ist.
