'Ihe ii'iik iio /'i vw 'M/v;, Wednesday. MAKKKT RKL'OItTS. The New Zm!'i;hl 1 j'>:in and Mercantile Agency Company report as under : — Adbi.aidk, July IS. —Wheat: An 1111pro\ed enquiry ha.-: beon mince-tinl during the past week, ami value.-; lira slightly firmer, sales heincr reported at 3k Sd per linstiol on trucks, P. « Adelaide. tellers .are asking an advance upon this pi ice. The interruption of tel-.'graphic cminunieatiou with London tends to restrict business. Klour : There is no improvement in the demand for tlour. ESest patent roller is quoted ,t!8 10s to 158 15s ; country superfine, 47 10s; household, £5 10s, f.0.b., Port Adelaide.— Oats (duty 2a per cental): Now Zealand feed oats have n steady sale, hut piiees are somewhat easier owing to expected shipments. Values are about 2s per bushel, in bend, gross weight, bags included.—Potatoes (duty 20s per ton) : The market continues firm ; Circular Heads being now qnot9d at £4 5s to ,454 10s, in bond, -Port Adelaide.

Duneimn, July 24.—Grain.—Wheat : There is no fresh feature of any interest to report, and no change in the market of any c msequencu, further than, perhaps, owing to the interruption of cable communication, and no advice of the position of the market at Home during the past_ week, sellers have not been quite so anxious to quit second-clacs quality in particular, and as the bulk of the stock now on hand consists of this class, very little business has been done. There are buyers in the market for all tliH prime milling offering at late quotations, but are not inclined to increase t aeir limits. A very good demand exists fif whole fowls' wheat, at from 2s tsd to 2s Bd, but sellers in the meantime are not disposed to do business except at a considerate advance, although it is quite probable t ie.se prices will have to be accepted for a c nisiderable portion of that now held in store, evon supposing that a further advance were secured in prices at Home. We quote : l'riine velvet and Tuscan, 3s 4d to il-i lid; medium to good and red wheat, 2s lOd to 3s 2d ; inferior to medium, 2s Gd to 2s 9d, with hardly any offering (ex store, sacks weighed in, terms). —Oats : We have again to note a very quiet week in this line, with a considerable amount of disinclination on the part of both shippers and buyers for local consumption to purchase, except on tho smallest possible scale, and at reduced rates. The best price made for stout bright sorts was Is o.j-d ; Danish and medium, discoloured, are difficult to place, also black, while long Tartars, fit for seed, are inquired for; and although a very considerable quantity of iuft/iior seed is offering, very few pure samples of prime quality can bj secured. Quotations for best feed and milling, Is 3J.d to Is 4d ; medium, to good, Is 3d to Is 3Ad; inferior to medium, Is to Is 2W (ex store, sacks extra, net), I'otatoes : The market is amply supplied with medium quality, which are diliicult to place at satisfactory price, while prime are not so plentiful and easily disposed of. for best, (j.'is to 117s Gd ; inferior to medium, 40s to 55s per ton (sacks weighed in). Dairy Produce: There is no improvement to note in the tono of the market since last reporting. Factory-made cheese is difficult to place at 4:1 for medium and -Ijd for small. Market full of butter, but very little Iprimo, which may be quoted at (j.jd to 7d, medium to good 4 ',d to (id, inferior 2d to 3d per lb and dull.
