Tub usual monthly meeting of the above Board was held in the Borough Council Chambers, Hamilton, at 11 a.m. yesterday. The Secretary again replied that there was on bootmaker named Turner 111 the diitrict, nor was there any hotel on the Nganiawahi 1 Road. Since this last letter nothing further was heard. Mus Ukay Anus'.—Mr Moron of Huntly applied for relief 011 behalf of Mrs Weeks (late -Mrs (Jray) who had been deserted by her hu-bmd and left with a young family of seven children, m a penniless condition. Constable White wrote stating that he believed Mrs Weeks had taken steps to obtain a warrant to bring her husband back. The Chairman called the attention of members to the fact that as Mts Cray, this woman, had been receiving fis per week relief for some time. The members, while desirous of making the husband contribute towards the support of his wife, felt that they could not in the meantime leave the woman in a destitute state and temporary relief to the extent of ;"h per week was granted. Rovciioit.—On the information of Mr Mills, it was decided to grant Mrs Royeroft, of Te Aroha, relief to the extent of os per week, and the Secretary was instructed to communicate with the police, asking them to make innuiries into the whereabouts of her children.

Sia'iiKT.Miv'rt Ri'.t'Oin.—The Secretary, in his monthly report, stilted tli;it there were 20persons receiving relief, and 13 inmates of the refuge, two of which were paying for their maintenance. U.N'ii'OH.M.—A report was received from the House Committee, recommending that the inmates of the Refuge bo supplied with uniform clothing, and stating that suitable clothing could be obtained for about 30s per suit, and boots for about 7s lid per pair. The Committee were instructed to call for tendern for uniforms in accordance with their report. Kyi>owmionrs. —It was decided to call for tenders for a term of three years for all endowments that have been surrendered by the former tenants.

Doctoh'h Rui'OliT.—The Doctor, in his report, asked tor instructions re Ada Baiker and Sexton, now in the hospital, but both of whom were incurable. He also pointed out the necessity for telephone communication between his house and tho hospital. It was decided that Sexton be discharged from tho hospital, as it was thought his father was able to keep him ; and tho question of telephone communication was referred to the House Committee. With reference to the case of Riley, now in the refuge, it was decided that ho could not be admitted into tho hospital, being incurable. Su.NDliv.—Tho usual relief, with the addition of Mrs Roycroft and Mrs Weeks, was granted ; £2 per week was granted to tho assistant-secretary ; and tho secretary was instructed to employ Mrs Hcyos to do the washing at Is per day.
