Tun Postmaster-General has not yet received a reply from the United States Government in answer to his message, asking whether thoM ail Subsidy Hill had passed both branches of the Ameiican Legislature. Unless a reply is received by to-morrow Mr Mitchelson will again wire asking the fate of the Bill. In event of the Pill having passed, the Government \vill_al once recommend the renewal of the San Francisco service, and they have no doubt their proposals will be adopted.
