The officers instigated tho 10th Regiment to rebel, and the (luvcrninout vainly endeavoured to .suppress the insurgents. The bunks and shops are closed, and business is at a standstill. Desperate, fighting has taken place in the streets. The garrison rebelled and the l.'ovorninent troops retreated. The President managed to make his escape at Rosario. Tho Kinanco .Minister ((J.uei.i) was taken prisoner and many of the populace wore killed. The '[{evolutionary (loverninont is announced with Avon as President and Jt ini'jro as Minister of Finance. The revolution is hourly extending, but the (lovermnent are holding out. Valparaiso, July 25. The situation in this city is improving. This shops and the Banks, which were closed for fear of further depredations being committed by the strikeis, have been reopened. July 2li. A thousand of tho rioters have been iinpiisimed, and the city is much quieter.
