Supplies of all sorts have been large. Potatoes c«me to hand freely from Taranaki and Waikato districts, there were but few sold by auction, but large quantities wen , quitted privately: Prime Taranaki lots, £4 ; medium, £3 15*; Waikatos, best lots, £4 15s ; medium £3 10s; all sacks included ; Southern table, none entered; kidneys, Southern havo been rather dull at £1 to £4 ICW ; local kidneys, no demand; Shepherds, dull at £4. Onions: only inferior lots coming in, they move off slowly at id to §d ; best Southern, £6 and i'd for small lota. Wheat is scarce •" Prime fowl feed, in demand at 3a to 3s 3d; maize, 3s ; bran, 3e 9d ; sharps, 49 (id; oats, dull at Is 10d to 2s; pumpkins. Is to 3s; carrots have come to hand in excess of demand, and sold at Ms to 30s per ton ; and Hμ to 2i for single sacks. Chatf: A quantity to hand realised from Is 5d to Iβ 7d per sack. Mangolds: Several tons to hand realised 14s to 20s per ton. Bacon and hams : Coining in freely, for which the demand ih nut active, only that really well (fot up demands attention—at fid to 6Jd fur bicon, and 6d to 7d for hams ; other kinds, 3d to 4£d. Cheese : The market is rather bwe of good quality—Cambridge factory, 4Jd; prime fanners', none to baud; old, lid to 2sd; factory loaves, 6d ; fanners', id. Butter : The supply of fre.sh has been smaller, and demand lias been better, at Ud to 10d. Keg butter : Tliere lias been a much larger quantity of better quality to lurid—u fair amount quitted privately at Gd to 7d, for prime; a large quantity of poor quality was quitted at Tuesday's auction at 2.Jd t:> 3Jd. haul, "ifd to 3d ; honey, bulk, none; Barrier, 101b tins, 3d; prime tiactton, Id, quiet; beojwax, Bd. Apples hive come to hand in large quantity. Ohenimuri and Stone Pippin, 2d to 2jd; Romo Beauty and Simonds' Winter, 2Jd to 3d; a few cases very choice dessert, 3d; poor sorts, l : [d; lemons, good, 7id to ll|d ; very small, 4d t'> 5d ; desiccated cocoanut, 7'.d ; chips, 7.W. Poultry entered in larger numbers than usual; tile demand was good and prices satisfactory, Best table fowls realised Is (id to Is 10d ; medium lots, Is 4d to Is 5d ; poor, small, and old lets, lid to Is 3d ; roosters in condition, Is 7d to 2s; others, Is to Is fid ; ducks, 2s 2d to 3s (id each ; gnesc, 3s 3d to 4s 3d; turkeys, good gobblers, 4s to sa; others and .small lions, :N to 3s 10d ; canaries, 2s (id to Us each. Pigs entered in fair numbers. Best lots realised 10s 3d to 11s; others, fix to 7s 9d ; venison, 2d per lb; hares, 2s Gd each. Rabbits are coming forward in quantities far short of demand at Is Id per pair.

LosnoN, July s.—At the wool sales merinos were dearer, while crossbreds were slightly easier. The market, generally is firm and spirited.—Later: At the wool auctions good merinoa are slightly improved, otherwise the market is unchanged, and rates obtained at the opening sale rule. Merinos average from 7'.d to 10d, and crossbreds from 5d to below May rates. The Continental demand has increased. Scoured, market firmer ; medium crossbred and coarse crossbred, market easier. Australian wheat, ex warehouse, is quoted at 3os Gd to 3<is. The total quantity of wool catalogued up to date is 123,000 bales, of which 111,400 bale.s have been sold.
