RESIDENT MAGISTRATES' COURT, CAMBRIDGE.
Yesterday.—(Before Captain Jackson, R.M.) Walker and Williams v. Ropata Tukkke. —Claim for £21 lis Gd for dishonoured promissory note. Judgment given for amount claimed and to 13s (id costs. He was ordered to pay £2 per month. Robert Hksi.op v. John and James Harris.—Claim £10. Mr Hally appeared for plaintiff and Mr Hay for defendants. Defandants were burning off in a gully on their farm, which adjoins the plaintiff's, and Hakes of fire it was contended were carried into a valuable bt of titree and caused its destruction. Numerous witnesses were examined, and then the Court adjourned to view the spot. The case was eventually adjourned until next court day.
