RINK CARNIVAL AT OHAUPO.
On Wednesday last, in connection with tlio Eureka .Skating Rink, n fancy dress carnival and dance was hold in the Ohaupo Public Ifall. There were only about halt-n-dozen in fancy drc6s, Miss Windsor, the only representative of the fair sex in costume, was dressed as Nancy Leo, si character which suited her very well, in fact, nioro than one gentleman was hoard to remark that she looked quito bewitching. Amongst the gentlemen, the one who attracted most attention, was Mr C. Mackenzie, who appeared as a Broken Down Irish Gentleman. The others in fancy dress were Mr J. Floyd, Jockey; Mr Corboy. Cricketer ; Mr C. K. Kusabs, I,l'iartrnuaster New Zealand Militia. Besides those in fancy dress there were about sixty others, the gentlemen being greatly in the majority. After rinking had been indulged in for some time, dancing commenced and was kept up until about four o'clock in the morning. The music was supplied by the Te Awamutu band, whilst Air P. Karl officiated as M.C., with his usual ability.
