Throwing 141b Weight: Kneebone, :>t feet 7 iuches ; Dinnie, 32 feet 4J inches. Tessing the Caber: Awarded to Dinnie ; Kneebone failing to completely toss it. Putting 161b Weight: Kneebone, 45 feet 0:]; inula ; Dinnie, 41 feet U inches. Throwing 16Jb Hammer: Dinnie, 91 feet 4 J inches ; Knoebone, 00 feet •31 inchce. Throwing 81b hammer : Dinnie, IjS feet 1 inch ; Kneebone, 143 feet 0 inches. The referee, Duncan (J. Rosa, decided the match as a draw. At the conclusion a sweepstake was made between Dinnio, Knoebone, and Ross for £25 aside in a match under same conditions as the one between Dinnie and Kneebone, the contost to take place on the 12th May. On.the Any appointed Duncan U. Donald Dinnie, and W. Kneebone contested together at Beech worth in the presence of a great crowd. Tho various competitions comprised tbrowing weights, putting the stone, and tossing the caber, for tho championship of Australia and 75sovs. The matches were decided by points, and in the end Ross was declared the winner, with the aggregate of 585 points, Kncebone following with 577, and Dinnio points.
