ACTIONS EOR INFRINGEMENT. [by lIJLEGItAPH— OWS T OOIUIE.SI'ONDKNT.] Auckland, List Night. At the Police Court to-day a number of cases un ier the Beer Duty Act were heard. A.ndrew Fernandez, licensee of the Britoinart Hotel, was charged with having neglected to candel the stamp upon certain casks of beer. After hearing the evidence the Magistrate fined the defendant £5. Three charges were heard against Messrs Watson and Murray, and fines of £50 each were inflicted in the two first, and £20 in the third case, making a total of £120.
