ATTEMPTED BURGLARY.
(by telegraph—riiim association). Blenheim, June 11. Two men last night attempted to rob the Colonial Bank. Howard, the .accountant, on retiring, at a! few minutes after eleven, was attacked in the dark by two men, who had got in by a back window. He resisted, and cried out vigorously for help, and the men (led without touching anything. There was ni) time for the burglars to do anything through the police being speedily on the spot. __________
