The ewes were bred by R. D. D. McLean, Esq., Maraekakoho, and S. H. Gollan, Esq., Maugatavata, Hawkes Bay. The lambs are out of Merino Ewes, bred on Mmaekakaho, by pure Lincoln Rams. The Leicester Rams arc without exception the best in the province, being purchased from the Lockerbie Estate. The pedigree Polled Angus Cattle are from stock imported from the South by W.
