PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD.

Tkk ordinary monthly meeting of the above board was held at Pnkeriinu Schoolhouse on Monday, June 2. Present: Mr Lake, chairmin, Messrs H. Kusabs, Win. Vosper, and J. Anderson. CoiuiESPONDENOE. —Mr Thorton Walker wrote offering to do the repairs to the road past Mr George Bailey's house if the board would find the necessary pines. Mr Vosper was empowered to see Mr Walker and settle the matter with him. Messrs Anderson, Vosper, and the chairman were authorised to meet Messrs Piko, Looker, and Reynolds on Saturday, 14th inst to inspect Campbell street, whiuh was reported to be almost impassable in the winter, and if the work was considered urgent to do what was required, and to report at the next meeting. Reserves. —Messrs Lake and Anderson reported that the road ran through lot 175, 12j acres. Mr Newcombe had offered £1 per annum for one portion and Mr Thus. Hall 10s for the other portion, for terms of 10 years in each case. All improvements in the way of fencing at the end of term to revert to the board, who were also to have the right to enter and take gravel at any time required. Lot 23, 11 acres. The committee reported that they had not made any arrangements about this lot. The ordinary meeting was then adjourned in order to hold the adjourned annual'meeting, after which the ordinary business was again proceeded with. Road Inspection , .—lt was resolved that a committee of the whole Board, or as many as can, meet at Ohaupo at 1 p.m., on Tuesday the 10th inst,, to in.spect the road and the trees growing on the same between lots 203 and 20(> Ngaroto.

Accounts.—The following accounts were received and passed for payment: Fletcher and Vickers, £15 3s 4d ; Souter, £3 10.s !>d

Fixed Deposit Account of £200.—As this account had matured on 22tid May. It was resolved that the sum of £100 be again lodged for six months from 3rd June and that a cheque be drawn for the balanco £100 to be placed to the general account. It was resolved that a meeting of the Board be held on Monday Ith August.
