Monthly Meeting.
The usual monthly meeting of the Board was then held, Messrs Primrose, Maclean Coates and White being present. Mr A. Primrose waß re-elected chairman, and Jas. McPherson was re-appointed clerk, treasurer, collector, returning officer, and also the proper person to serve notices re the eradication of furze.
Funds.—The Clerk reported that the Board was at present £45 lGs lOd in credit,
Culvert.— Permission was granted to Mr Piiterson to lower a culvert across the road near his farm.
Payments.—The fallowing payments were authorised :—E. Johnson, £6 17s ; M. Kieley, £5 4s 2d; E. Wilson, £4 Is 9d; Engineer, £2 15s ; Knox and Kidler, £1 5s 7d ; R. Waite, £13 ; J. Smith, £7 10^. Caretaker.—Mr Edney was appointed to look after the Mangawhara bridge at Is per week. Rate. —Mr I. Coates gave notice that at next meeting he would move that a rate of id in the £ be struck. Gulyert.—Mr Maclean was empowered to have a culvert erected on the Mangawhara road across the big drain. This was all the business.
