FLOUR FROM WAIKATO WHEAT.
We are pleased to hear, and it will be gratifying to Waiknto residents generally to know, that Waikato grown wheat is regaining its character for quality. For the last year or two attempts have been made to raise a prejudice against our Waikato wheat, and those qualified to express an opinion, think not altogether justly, at any rate we ara now in receipt of information, that the flour produced at the Cambridge mills by Mr Chambers, will not only hold its own in the Auckland markets, but it is stated by a master baker doing one of the largest businesses in Auckland who has been using it for some time, that it is equal, if not superior, to any flour that has ever passed through his hands. Mr J. C. Firth, who has secured the Auckland agency for the sale of this flour, states that the demand for this brand far exceeds the supply. It will be to the interests of those connected with the Cambridge mill to endeavour to provide for an extra output in order to take full advantage of this very satisfactory state of affairs.
