FATALITIES.

(by telegraph.— press association.) Mastkhton, Last Night. A hoy named John \Vlight, two years of age, was ucuidentally drowned in the Waipoa river yesterday. Napier, Last Night.

News was received last night of the discovery of the dead body of Earnest Peters, on the bed of the Tntaekuri liver, below a cliff thirty feet high. Deceased is the son of Hon. \V. S. Peters, of Ashburton, Canterbury, and was visiting Hawkes Bay with the 'object of purchasing a country property. Ho left town on the 14th inst. and was never since heard of till discovered to-day. His horse was found on the 18th, tied to some mauuka scrub some little distance off the road, about five miles from Pukutapu, which place deceased was seen to pass through on the 14th. Patea, Last Night.

Leonard Chitty, 00 years of age, was found hanging in an out-house, near Caversham Railway Station. He was seen about half-an-hour previous. Nelson, Last Night.

William Kruse, a settler at Bridgwater, was riding on the top of a load of straw, and, whilst passing under tho telegraph line, he was caught and thrown to tho ground with such force that he sustained severe internal injuries, from which he died. Wellington, Last Night.

A young man, named Dryad-ale, was violently thrown from Ins horse at Martinborough last night and instantly killed.
