CAMBRIDGE DOMAIN BOARD.

The adjourned meeting of the above Board was held on the 19th instant, when there were present Messrs T. Wells J'. Fisher, R. Kirkwood and E. B. Walker.

Leases.—A letter was received from Mr James Hally, solicitor, stating that when dealing with the transfer of some of the Domain loases, on behalf of one of his clients, he found they had not been registered in the Lands Transfer Office, and iu fact no folio had been opened. He had caused the defect to be remedied and asked the Board to recoup him tho.actual costs out of pockets, viz., £2 12s Od.—The Chairman said when the Domain Board was first created the matter had been left to the late Mr Whitaker to deal with, and he had evidently neglected it. He moved that Mr Hally's request be complied with ; that the money be paid and that the thanks of the Board be tendered Mr Hally for tha trouble he had taken. Seconded by Mr Kirkwood and agreed to.

Camhiiidgk West.— Mr Fisher said portions of the cemetery at Cambridge West needed clearing and ploughing about 2!j inches deep. A man named Harris had offered to do the work for £2 10s.
