HAMILTON LIGHT INFANTRY.

A kiflk competition between members of the above company took place at the range yesterday, the medals presented by Messrs Harker and Endean being the prizes fired for. The weather was all that could be desired for good shooting, although those who fired last at 000 yards were at a disadvantage owing to darkness setting in. The sq.iadwasa large one, and Captain Reid, Lieuts. Kirk and Dyer were among the competitors. For Harker's medal the scoring was very close, Private T. Pearson and Corporal Hammond tying with a score of 38; the former however, securing the medal in the count off, his score showing the fewest outers. Sergeant Alexander won the Endean medal with a score of 03, and this being the second occasion on which he has won it, it becomes his own property. Mr W.
