CAMBRIDGE SCHOOL COMMITTE.
The above committee met on Monday evening, at the Criterion Hotel, Cambridge. Present: Messrs Sargent (chairman), Wells, Hally, Bond, Hewitt, Boyce and Dickenson. The quarterly attendance 'had been 161*4, the' number on the roll being 208. The percentage of passes at the late examination was 73 8. The Inspector reported that satisfactory order and discipline were maintained. The College authorities notified the committee that examinations on "Agricultural Scientie" would probably be held_ in March next year, open to the three highest standards. The Education Board intimated they would like minor repairs attended to at once, and the grounds made as attractive ns possible, by gardens, etc., being made. A letter from. the Board was read, 'stating the junior district scholarship had been awarded to R. Carnachan. It was resolved to prosecute the parents of children who absented themselves from school.— Tho remaining business was purely formal.
