Chiustchbrch, March 21. — Wheat: With favourable weather for threshing large quantities are now available. The market has a slightly firmer tone, but values are practically unaltered. : Farmers are more disposed to store or ship than accept ruling rates, but Home prices do not permit any increase here. We quwte Hunter's, 2s 7d to 2s 8d; Pearl, 2s 8d to 2s 9d; Tuscan, 2s lOd to 2s IOJd f.0.b., sacks extra. —Oats: In this cereal also growers are inclined to wait for better values; but with the knowledge of large supplies here and in the South, some, are accepting current quotations, which are :—Milling, la' lid to Is 7d ; stout feed, Is 4d to Is od ; ordinary, Is 3d per bushel, sacks and cast ex store to be added.—Barley: The market is, quiet, especially for medium sorts, which are offering freely. Prime malting is worth 3s 3d to 3s lid; medium, 2s to 2s 9d; feed from Is Gd per bushel, sacks extra.—Grass Seeds: Ryegrass is in good demand for autumn sowing, and firm at quotations. Farmers' lots, 3s 3d to 4s for good clean, heavy, samples; machine-dressed, 4s 9d and os per bushel, sacks extra. Cocksfoot is offering in considerable quantities, and may be noted slightly easier, though without material change in values. Farmers' samples bring 2{d to 3id, and ud to 3.',- for exceptionally good seed; machine-dressed is worth 3jd to 4d per 11), sacks extra.— J)airy Produce: Butter is in slightly better deuiaud, and brings (id per lb. Cheese is unchanged at 3d to 3kl per lb. Adelaide, March 14,—Wheat: Sales are reported at 3s Ud to 3s 7d per bushel at Port Adelaide for fair average quality. Inferior is difficult to sell at from 2s to 3s.— Flour: Best patent roller is quoted £9 to i>9 ss, and country superfine i'B to £8 10s. Households about per ton.—Oats (duty 3s ver cental): A small business is passing in Now Zealand oats at from 2s to 2s 3d, in bond, according to quality^—Cheese (duty 4d perlb) : We have had a little more enquiry for imported cheese, but the market is depressed on account of the large quantity of' local make now put on the market. Prime New Zealand is worth 3,' id to 4Jd per lb., in bond, Port Adelaide.—Butter (duty 21 per lb): Prime potted butter has been ■old at 7Ad per lb, in bond.
