THE GOVERNOR'S VISIT TO WAIKATO.
As reported in our last issue, an official notification was received by the Mayor of Hamilton that the Governor would be in Hamilton on Thursday forenoon on his return from his visit to the Waitomo Caves at Otorphanga. As is usual on the occassion of a vice regal visit, the duty of arranging a fitting reception devolves npon the local body. A special meeting of the Borough Council was held yesterday, when it was decided to present an address to His Excellencv, after which, if time will allow, it is proposed to place a drag at the disposal of the vice regal party, for the purpose of driving to Cambridge and back, in order to give the party a more favourable opinion of the district than could be arrived at by just passing thronirh by train.
