TO THE EPITOH. Silt,—lu a paragraph which appeared in your issue of Thursday last in reference to the Cambridge Observer Man, I wish your correspondent could first ascertain the truth of his statements before sending them to you for publication. With reference to the agsertion cif my beinf? again unsuccessful permit to say that I was quite successful in what I undertook, which was the recue of a child of five years old from the grasp of a virago, who was beating it with a stick about the thickness of a man's arm. Having successfully accomplished the task and restoring him to his mother's protecting arms I was quite justified in using my legs in order to save my head from the unpleasant consequences of a couple of bricks coming in contact with my cranium. When next your correspondent has any remarks to make about the Cambridge Observer Man it is to bo hoped he will listen to both sides of the question before sending it to the local press, and not allow the public to imagine that I was the aggresser in this case as he has done by his unfair remarks respecting the affair in question.
