According to the London correspondent of the Liverpool Post, 400 plans : have already'been received by the committee who offered - prizes for the best nnrl seoon'l-best plan for th«i proposed Watkin Tower. The tower will.be so lofty that several of its lower stages will be above the ascertainable altitude of any fog. When fog suddenly falls upon London the inhabitants are imprisoned-. When the Watkin Tower is built, all that need he done when the fo.r comes on is to pay your money, enter the lift of the tower, and in s» few minutes be up in the clear inc. •
