RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Te Awamutu -.—Wednesday. [Before T. Jackson, Esq., R, M.] Rybukv v Jkmsk Auiuitr Sage.—Mr Givsham appeared for plaintiff. Tho defendant did not appear. The claim was for £21 15s 3d, principal and interest due on a dishonored promissory note. Judgement for amount claimed, and costs £5 lla. El.ii.sly v McLaughun.— Judgement for plaintiff 6110s 7d, costs 11*=. Waipa Count* Council v Rath De kaui.teks. —A large number of these cases were decided. In many cases the defendants had remitted the bare amount of rates due, but without costs. They thereby rendered theinsolvos liable to pay the costs of action. In all thes? cases the defendants were ordered to pay all costs in addition to the amount of rates due.
Elms v Tk Whitu.— Judgement for £2 14-= 3d, costs lGs. Ripr.FA- v Semmen's.— Judgement for plaintiff for amount of claim £2 10s and costs £1 2s.
