.Notice?. ZEALAND RAILWAYS. Waikato Stations. RACES AT HAMILTON, Saturday, December 21. CHRISTMAS ANDNEW YEAR HOLIDAYS, 1889-90, PARES AND TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. SATURDAY TICKETS will be issued from any station to any station from Saturday, 21st December, 1889, to Thursday, 2nd January, 1890 (both days inclusive), and will be available for return up to and including Tuesday, 14th January, IS9O. EXCURSION TICKETS to Auckland, available by any train will be issued at the following stations from Saturday, '21st December, ISS9, to Thursday, 2nd January, 1890 (both days inclusive), and will be available for return up to and including Tuesday, 14th January, IS9O. RETURN FARES. First Second From Class. Class. Te Aroha 22s 15s Moirinsville Cambridge J- ... 21s 14a Te Awamutu J Oliaupo 20s 13a Hamilton West 1 1& Ngaruawahia ) Holders of these tickets may break the return journey (only) at any stopping station provided the specified time is not exceeded. Passengers from stations at which these Excursion Tickets are not issued will be able to take advantage of the Excursion bookings by taking out a Saturday Return Ticket to the nearest station (in the direction of Auckland) at which Excursion Tickets arc issuable.
At stations from which the Train Service is intermitttent the Excursion Tickets will be issued only on the days on which trains are advertised (by timetable and poster) to run. The period for which these excursion tickets are available for return may be extended a fortnight on payment of excess fare as per notice, exhibited at issuing stations. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 21st, RACES AT HAMILTON. A train will leave Auckland for Hamilton East at 7.0 a.m., Mercer 9.45, Huntly 10.50, Ngaruawahia 11.15, reaching Hamilton East at 11.55 a.m., returning from Hamilton East at 6.0 and Hamilton West at 6.5 p.m., stopping on outward journey where required to pick up passengers for Hamilton and on the return journey where required to set passengers down. Saturday Fares from Waikato Stations.
The 8.20 a.m. train from Cambridge to Frankton Junction will run as on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. A train will leave Frankton Junction for Cambridge at 5.35 p.m., Hamilton West 5.38, Hamilton East 6.0, reaching Cambridge at G. 40 p.m. ; stopping where required to pick up or set down passengers A train will leave Frankton Junction for Te Awamutu at 6.20 p.m., Ohaupo 6.50 p.m., reaching Te Awamutu at 7.15 p m.; stopping where required to pick up or set down passengers. Passengers from Hamilton East or West for this train leave by the return Auckland train (see above) aud transfer at Franktou Juuction. The 10.35 am. train Mercer to Huntly, the 2 25 p m. train Frankton Junction feo Te Awamutu, and the 2.55 p.m. train Ruakura Junction to Cambridge will uot ruu. MONDAY, DECEMBER 23rd. The 10.35 a.m. train Mercer to Huntly will ruu as on Tuo-days and Saturdays. The 2.55 p.m. train Ruakura Junction to Cambridge will ruu as on Tuesdays, Thursdays, aud Saturdays. TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24th. The 5.20 a.m. train Cambridge to Frankton Junction will run as on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The 10.35 a.m. train Mercer to Huntly will not run. ON CHRISTMAS DAY, DECEMBER 25th., The train service iu the Waikato will be suspended. BOXING DAY, DECEMBER 26. AUCKLAND RACES. A passenger train will leave Te Aroha at 5.45 a.m., Morrinsville 6.30, Cambridge 6.30, Te Awamutu 6.25, Ohaupo 6.45, Hamilton West 7.20, Ngaruawahia, 5.5, Huntly 8.35, Mercer 9.45 for Racecourse Platform and Auckland, reaching Auckland about 12.30 p.m., stopping where required to pick up and set down passengers. Fares as above. SPORTS AT HAMILTON—HOT SPRINGS, TE AROHA. A passenger train will leave Auckland for Hamilton and Te Aroha at 7 a.m., Mercer, 9.40, Huntly 10.43, Ngaruawahia 11.10, Frankton Junction 11.40, Hamilton West arrive 11.45, Te Aroha arrive 1.15 p.m., returning from Te Aroha 5.30 p.m., Hamilton East 6.55, Hamilton West at 7.3 p.m. This train will stop on the outward journey where required to pick up passengers for Hamilton and To Aroha, and ou the return journey where required to set passengers down. Saturday fares from Waikato Stations. The following trains will not run :— 6.0 a.m. Lichfield to Frankton Junction, 8.35 a.m. Te Awamutu to Frankton Junction, 9.55 a.m. Frankton Junction to Auckland, 9.40 a.m. Mercer to Huntly, 2.15 p.m. Huntly to Auckland. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 27th. The 10.35 a.m. train Mercer to Huntly will run as on Tuesdays aud Saturdays. The 2.55 p.m. train Ruakura Junction to Cambridge will run as on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 28th. The 8.20 train from Cambridge to Frankton Junction will ruu asouMoudays, Wednesdays aud Fridays. The 10.35 a.m. train Mercer to Huutly and tho 2.25 p.m. train Frankton Junction to Te Awamutu will not ruu. MONDAY, DECEMBER 30th. The 8.35 a.m. train To Awamutu to Frankton Junction will not run. The 10.35 a.m. train Mercer to Huntly will run as on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The 255 p.m. train Ruakura Junction to Cambridge will run as on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays. TUESDAY, DECEMBER 31st. The 8.20 a.m. train Cambridge to Frankton Junction will run as on Mondays. Wednesdays and Fridays. Tho 10.30 a.m. train Mercer to Huntly will not run. NEW YEAR'S DAY, JANUARY Ist, 1890. AUCKLAND RACES. A passenger train for Racecourse Platform and Auckland, stopping wher# require ! to pick up and set down passengers, will run from Waikato stations at same times as on 26th December (see above). Faies as above. The following trains will not ruu 7.40 a.m. Te Aroha to Frankton Juuction, 8.20 a.m. Cambridge to Frankton Junction, 8.35 a.m. Te Awamutu to Frankton Junction, 9.55 a.m. Frankton Junction to Auckland, 9.40 a.m. Mercer to Huntly, 2.15 p.m. Huntly to Auckland.
